Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 10 July 2026

1. About us

GlobalFerries is an independent aggregator that lets you compare and book ferry crossings operated by third-party ferry companies. We are not a ferry operator. Your contract of carriage is with the operator that runs your crossing; these terms govern your use of the GlobalFerries service.

2. Bookings

When you complete a booking we act as an agent to arrange your crossing with the chosen operator. A booking is confirmed once you receive a booking reference. It is your responsibility to ensure passenger names, dates of birth, and vehicle details are correct — operators may refuse travel if details don't match your documents.

3. Prices and payment

Prices are shown per person (and per vehicle where applicable), in euros, and include the fare and any extras you select. The total payable is shown before you confirm. We show fares from every operator we cover side by side and do not add hidden booking fees.

4. Cancellations and changes

You may cancel a confirmed booking free of charge up to 48 hours before the scheduled departure of the first crossing, from your bookings page. Within 48 hours of departure a booking can no longer be cancelled for free, and the operator's own fare rules apply. Refunds are processed according to the operator's fare policy for your ticket type.

5. Your responsibilities

You must be able to form a legally binding contract, provide accurate information, and carry valid travel documents (passport/ID and, where required, visas) for every passenger. You must arrive for check-in by the operator's stated deadline.

6. Liability

As an agent, we are responsible for arranging your booking with reasonable care and skill. The operation of the crossing — including timetables, delays, cancellations by the operator, and conditions on board — is the responsibility of the ferry operator under its own conditions of carriage. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, without affecting mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence.

GlobalFerries is a demonstration project. These terms are a good-faith template and not legal advice; a production deployment should have them reviewed by a qualified adviser.
